Welcome to Nutrition Education Services
Sara is currently working for 6 months at the Soil Association on improving food service - encouraging local, sustainable and organic food to be provided in hospitals, restaurants, catering firms and at the London 2012 Olympics. School Workshops are not currently available, but why not register your interest in the new Food For Life programme being offered by the Soil Association? This programme is will be rolling out across the country from September 2007, providing schools with the help they need to source fresh food from local farms, resources to create school gardens, and the chance for schools to have a visit from a new 'cooking bus' - a huge kitchen on wheels, giving children the opportunity to learn to cook no matter what resources the schools have. ***INFORMATION ABOUT NUTRITION EDUCATION SERVICES*** Nutrition Education Services offers workshops to schools and community groups in the North East Hampshire area of the UK. These creative, interactive workshops make learning fun, and explain in simple terms how the food we eat affects our health. With the increased media attention and public awareness of the link between diet and disease, these workshops are aimed at promoting body health awareness, and encouraging the enjoyment of a healthy diet. Workshops are available for both adults and children. If you have a School or a Community Group that would be interested in workshops, please click on the links above for more information, or contact us for specific enquiries. |
